NSF Pathways to Enable Open-Source Ecosystems (POSE) grant proposal

Hi all,
The GDCC Steering Committee and some US-based members of the Dataverse community have the past couple of months been discussing the possibility of applying for an NSF Pathways to Enable Open-Source Ecosystems (POSE) grant to help formalize and sustain the Dataverse community. There is an ongoing call for POSE proposals with the deadline on September 5. After an initial plan to submit a proposal this year, in the end it turned out that none of the involved US-based community members could take the lead on this in the time allotted. We thus concluded next year is a better opportunity with a longer on-ramp.
At the same time, postponing a proposal to 2025 gives us the opportunity to potentially involve more community members. To this end, we'd like to reach out to the community to investigate whether there is an active interest among the (US-based) community members to contribute to a NSF POSE proposal in 2025. The reason why we primarily ask for participation from US-based community members is that only US-based organizations can be official project partners in an NSF POSE-funded project.
So, if your organization is based in the US and you are interested in joining a conversation about a Dataverse proposal to the 2025 NSF POSE call, please send me a line by email to philipp.conzett [at] uit.no by September 20.
