Updating license or terms of use of a template - Error 404

Hello everybody,

I'm following the documentation on how to create a template for a collection which works as expected, however when trying to follow how to update the license or tems of use of a template, despite using the exact same json given as example, I keep getting:

{"status":"ERROR","code":404,"message":"API endpoint does not exist on this server. Please check your code for typos, or consult our API guide at http://guides.dataverse.org.","requestUrl":"http://localhost:8080/api/v1/dataverses/templates/1","requestMethod":"PUT"}

I know I can manually modify my template however I was hoping to do it from the bootstrap script. I'm using dataverse 6.10. Is this endpoint deprecated?

Hi Daniela,

That "update the license or terms of use of a template" API endpoint was added in 6.11 in this pull request: https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/pull/12159

So, you can upgrade to 6.11 if you need it.

To avoid confusing about what's available in 6.10.1, I recommend using that version of the guides (instead of "latest"): https://guides.dataverse.org/en/6.10.1
