Hi everyone,

Is anyone interested in getting together as the GDCC Sensitive Data IG again before the end of the year? Or in January?

There has been a lot of movement around sensitive data and support in Dataverse here in Canada, and I'd like to hear from others about how we can coordinate efforts / get insight about what others are working on so we can be in alignment!

Many thanks,

Absolutely. I wouldn't have anything to contribute, but I'm very curious about hearing more about what you and others have been up to.

Greetings from Denmark,
Falco

Hi Amber,

Definitely, I'm interested in hearing more about what is happening on your end. At UNC, we are still at the planning stage, but I can see if Jon or Don wants to discuss our direction/plans.

As much as I'd love to do this before the end of the year, I'm feeling the holiday crunch. You might get better attendance in January.

All the best,
Cheryl

Hi Amber, all,

I'd also be interested in joining a call. At DataverseNO, we have been discussing data privacy support for some time and are interested in exploring collaborations on this topic.

Best,
Philipp

Dave Fearon and I at Johns Hopkins would very much like to attend a meeting in January on the topic as well.

Hi Amber,
I would very much like to join as well. We are working on launching our own instance of the dataverse at BSC (Spain), with plenty of use cases for sensitive data. I would love to learn what other people are doing. Thanks!

Greeting from Barcelona,
Aina

Many institutions and Dataverse installations are considering models for sensitive data deposit and sharing, including remote storage links, enhanced storage and security, institutional checklists and policies, and more.

Join us for a conversation and share your ideas about support for sensitive data in Dataverse! IG meetings in the past have addressed the complexities of managing sensitive data in academic repositories, with a focus on integrations of technology and policy.

Hope to see you there,
