About file uploading issue

Hi everyone,

When creating dataset, users can drag the file to the upload widget and upload the files to the dataset. In some situations, the users may click the Save Dataset button before the files are completely uploaded. In this case, the dataset can be created, but the files cannot be saved. Is it possible to disable the Save Dataset button before the file upload is completed? Or is there any way to prevent user from clicking the Sava Dataset button when the files are uploading? Thanks.

Hi Patrick,

Yes, good idea. Are you interested in creating an issue about this? The place to do so is https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues

From a quick test, the same thing happens when you edit (rather than create) a dataset and try to upload large files. In that case, the button to disable is called "Done" rather than "Save Dataset".

In server.log I see errors like this: java.lang.RuntimeException: Error in multipart initialization at org.apache.catalina.fileupload.Multipart.init
