Hi All .. we are in the process of pulling dataset metadata from Dataverse using OAI-PMH into Primo (anyone using Primo)? We are using the Dublin-Core feed, but finding that some of the fields map strangely to Primo (ie: creator and contributor fields both map to the same field in Primo, so you get duplicates). Anyone else done harvesting from Dataverse to Primo? Did you find any way to customize the mappings for Primo and/or have any suggestions for pulling the data? Per our developer, Primo doesn’t like the raw JSON and even XML is difficult to try to get Primo to read if it isn’t DC format. Would appreciate any info on this or on just customization of the mapping of common formats in Dataverse (if possible).

Have your developers tried to extract (use) the solr records from your Dataverse repo?

We don’t have Primo but use the solr index as input to our Catalog.

Thank you, that is something that we’ve not thought about. We will look into it!

Thanks, Sherry!
