Hello,
I should start with a preface that I am new to the Dataverse and still exploring what is possible. We are in the process of testing to understand if the Dataverse would suit the needs of our institution. I am trying to load a DDI record with a DOI included in it. However, the system is giving me an error that the Connection was reset during the PID validation. This makes sense, as our system is closed internally while we are doing the testing.
My question is there a way to bypass PID validation while uploading a DDI XML record? I would like it to still display the DOI I am trying to give it.
Thank you,
Kirill

Hi Phil,
Thank you! Adding “release=no” worked.
