Hi all,

Suppose I have a Dataverse like this:
sub-dataverse A and sub-dataverse B under the root
sub-dataverse A1 and sub-dataverse A2 under sub-dataverse A
Is it possible to move sub-dataverse A2 (including the published and unpublished dataset inside) to sub-dataverse B?

Regards,
Matthew

hello,

Depending on your version of Dataverse there should be a form for this in the admin dashboard. Apologies if my hazy memory remembers it moving collections; it may only move datasets.

There are also database shenanigans which coupled with manual solr reindex calls can achieve the same results, but the web form would be far simpler.

Hi everyone,

That form in the admin board that Don mentioned will let you move a dataset into another Dataverse collection, but there should be a banner that mentions the Managing Datasets and Dataverses page in the Admin Guide. And that page mentions an API endpoint for moving one Dataverse collection into another collection.
