Publication year in facets

Hello,

I'm having a problem with 'Publication year' facet. I think that - and please correct me if I'm wrong - I'm unable to edit it (remove from my collection). I seems like it is hard coded.

This is a bit of an issue when talking about harvesting instance. On harvester 'Publication year' facet shows only publication from harvester instances (dataverses) but not harvested objects (datasets). This way I may have 1000 datasets, but in 'Publication year' I will see values like: 2025:1, 2024:3. This is... confusing for the users.

I tried to configure it threw:

But it seems to be a dead end.

Can you tell me if there is any workaround here (without changing CSS of the site)?

If not, can I post a github issue to make 'Publication year' facet non obligatory?

Yes, it looks like it's hard-coded in addDataverseReleaseDateToSolrDoc at https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/blob/v6.7.1/src/main/java/edu/harvard/iq/dataverse/search/IndexServiceBean.java#L2013
