duplicate file names

Is there a way to allow for duplicate file names in the same dataset? That is needed for shapefiles and other formats.

Hi Debora,

What version of Dataverse are you using? In recent versions of Dataverse we've improved duplicate file handling*. Is the problem specific to shapefiles? (We do have a few open issues for shapefiles.) Can you please try testing on https://demo.dataverse.org which is running 5.7 as of this writing.
