Response to RFC from US Office of Science and Technology Office Policy

Hi Dataverse Community,

Jon Crabtree and I are planning to submit a response from the Global Dataverse Community Consortium (GDCC) to the OSTP Draft on Desirable Characteristics of Repositories for Managing and Sharing Dat Resulting from Federally Funded Research.

While this doesn't impact directly our community members outside the US, it is still important to make sure that US repositories follow the same standards and characteristics as those around the world. I'm asking here for your comments on the OSTP draft.

I create a Google Doc to collect the comments here (you can only "comment, not edit).

I'll be collecting comments from the community until Friday 2/28.

Jon and I will review the comments from the community and decide what is more relevant to share with OSTP. I also need to confirm that we can submit as GDCC (as of now it says that submissions can be done by an institution or by an individual, no more than 1 per institution).
