Hi! Recently we experimented with Mailchimp[1] for sending out Dataverse security advisories but it's complex and expensive so we are switching again to use Google Groups:

Future Dataverse Security Advisories will be sent to members of the new dataverse...@googlegroups.com email list. Everyone who was in the Mailchimp list will be added to or invited to the new list.

If you do not receive an email that you have been added or invited within 24 hours, please contact sup...@dataverse.org to request to be added. (If you have not been receiving security advisories before, please explain your association with a Dataverse instance and reason for requesting access. Please feel free to tell us your GitHub username, if you have one.)

I'm attaching a screenshot of how the "You have been added to Dataverse Security" email I received looked. You should expect something similar.

We have enabled the archive feature of the new group and have pre-populated the archive with recent security advisories. This will allow you to check to make sure you haven't missed any.

We intend to send two new advisories soon, once the Google Group is fully set up. Again, you'll be able to check the archive for these two advisories, but (again) please let us know at sup...@dataverse.org if you didn't receive the invite.

Also, please pardon our dust as we experiment with these various options. I'm sure we'll settle into a routine eventually.
