Tracking ingest/upload activity

Hi all,

As a systems administrator I would like to know when files are being ingested/uploaded to our Dataverse instance.  Is there a way to see what activities are happening at any given time, either on the server or in a GUI?

Hi Bob,

Good question. First, the word "ingest" has special meaning in Dataverse: for tabular data, producing summary statistics, etc. I think you're asking about uploads and activity in general.

You might want to check out the "actionlogrecord" database table. It's described here: https://guides.dataverse.org/en/6.7.1/admin/monitoring.html#actionlogrecord

I don't believe uploads are logged there, but you should see lots of activity, mostly commands like "create dataset", etc.
