Hi Muthyam, I'm sorry to hear about your trouble installing DVN. The
screenshot talks about database problems so I'd start there. Next
time, if you could copy and paste the errors into your message I would
appreciate it. It makes for easier Googling. :) Actually, if you see
that error again (or still have it handy), could you please send it to
sup...@thedata.org?

If this is your first time installing DVN you might want to try
installing within a Vagrant environment first with
https://github.com/dvn/dvn-install-demo just to get a feel for it.
After `vagrant up` you should have a working DVN to play with.
`vagrant destroy` to delete it and start over.

I hope this helps,

Phil

Ok, I ran the PNG you sent through http://www.newocr.com and it did a pretty good job! I cleaned up the text output (below) a bit.

I think we would know a lot more if you sent the server.log file to us. Again, you're welcome to send it to our internal support address (sup...@dataverse.org) and we can summarize the problem and resolution for this mailing list.

You could also try connecting to the database directly with `psql` to have a look around. A post at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5011326/exception-eclipselink-4002-dont-know-whats-missing-jpa-jsf-project#comment5618492_5017544 suggests that perhaps there is something wrong with the Glassfish connection pool. If you're just getting started, it might be easier to delete everything (such as with `vagrant destroy`) and run though the install process again.

I hope this helps,

Phil

Hi Muthyam,

I see from https://help.hmdc.harvard.edu/Ticket/Display.html?id=182289
that you were able to get DVN installed. Great! We'll follow up with
you there about other questions you have.

Phil
