GDCC Interest Group: Sensitive Data

Greetings Dataverse Community! 

At last week's Community Meeting in Braga, we gathered a potential interest group focused on sensitive data. We enjoyed a lively initial discussion, and determined that there is likely sufficient interest to convene a formal community interest group with monthly meetings. 

If you're interested in participating, please join the #ig-sensitivedata channel over on the community Slack space. Action items for everyone interested in participating:

Hello again! Just following up to mention that we're planning a kickoff meeting for the fall. Please fill out this poll to coordinate a useful meeting time:  https://whenisgood.net/yrxrc2h. I’ve tried to keep time zone conflicts in mind, but unfortunately it’s an ongoing challenge for our community to be 100% inclusive for all regions. Happy to reconsider timings if folks wish.

Hi all! Based on our survey, it looks like September 26 at 10am EDT is the best time for most, but unfortunately not all. Please find Zoom info below and a calendar invite (.ics) attached. I’ll send out a google doc that we can use for an agenda and taking community notes a few days before our meeting. If everyone is alright with it, we’ll plan to record the meetings and post to DataverseTV for those who aren’t able to join.

Hello again, 

Thanks to all who joined for for a terrific kickoff meeting for our Sensitive Data IG. Meeting notes can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Gv2uHWqTrDME7WFwMYPjDmeDwnBsLXiO1lZ_iAR9lgE/edit. 

I also have just remembered that I promised to add the recording of the meeting to DataverseTV, but unfortunately I forgot to record it. The great news is that we discussed establishing a steering committee/group of co-chairs to lead this group, so future meetings will have more people tasked with ensuring these things happen. 

Feel free to reach out directly with any questions, concerns, or interest in joining in a leadership capacity. We'll keep all communications to this general google group for the time being, so stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved and join future meetings.
