Hi,

I have a small an unimportant question, but I was having a look around at the SPA demo environment (e.g. https://beta.dataverse.org/spa/datasets?persistentId=doi:10.5072/FK2VG7KTZ&version=2.0) and noticed that the "Terms" tab has been renamed to "Terms and Guestbook". What's the reasoning behind this? Because I think it might be a bit confusing if you don't have a guestbook on a dataset (which I think is the case for most datasets). Also, guestbooks are never "hidden", because they pop-up the moment you start any download. So, I don't immediately get this choice, and therefore wanted to ask so I can understand a bit better.

Kind regards,
Dieuwertje

Hey Dieuwertje. In the GitHub issue at https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse-frontend/issues/799 there's some conversation about this change that I think might help. Could you check it out?

In that issue I tried to record how the team talked about how we might evaluate the  success of this change, in part to help make sure we have the same understanding of the change. And there was at least some consensus that hypothetically we might measure whether users can more easily find the Guestbook options. By "users" I think we meant folks editing the dataset, and not necessarily folks who are interested in downloading files, which I think are the types of users you're thinking of. Is that right?

If so, I also wouldn't think that a user looking to download a dataset's file would be looking for information about its guestbook. Instead, we would expect them to see the guestbook, if there is one, when they try to download the dataset's files.

I don't think we were thinking about this change from the perspective of someone only interested in downloading files in a dataset, so it's really helpful to hear that type of user might be confused by a tab named ""Terms and Guestbook"" a dataset that has no guestbook, and I think it's a question worth exploring.
