Files included in initial search result, even if checkbox is unchecked

Hi all,

When I perform a search on a dataverse, initially the filter is set to include dataverses and datasets and to exclude files. However, after hitting the search button or Enter, the initial search result also contains files. Is this a known bug (or feature?) and is there an issue for it?

Hi Jan,

This behavior is by design, so yes, it's a feature. :)

"Gustavo, Liz, and Phil agreed on this:

- When you browse to a dataverse, we show dataverses OR datasets.
- The moment you type a term and search, we show all types (dataverses, datasets, files)"

That's from https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/161

Of course, if you don't like this behavior, you are welcome to open an issue to at least make it configurable! (Some people might like it the way it is.)
