Software, workflows and containers working group

Hi All,

We are kicking off a working group to focus on supporting Software, Workflows, and Containers in Dataverse! We created a webpage swc.gdcc.io hosted at https://github.com/gdcc/swc.wgs.gdcc.io, to keep track of the effort.

Does your group already have an ongoing effort on incorporating software code, workflows and containers in Dataverse? If so, please let us know about the project by creating an issue in the repository. Please specify the project goals, members, and references. This will help us keep the efforts in one place, find common themes and collaborate better.

Also, I started drafting a guide for depositing code (here) to be added to the Dataverse User's guide. If this is of interest to you, please review the draft or suggest changes on Github. If you have anyone in mind who has already worked on such a guide, please feel free to involve them.

Of course! You are very welcome to join the group! It would be good to identify some common goals, so I will follow up on that over the email.

I don't think I have something sufficient for an issue in the repo now, but me did some near integration between Dataverse and Binder during a workshop some time ago (at that time, I wasn't aware I could have linked from Dataverse directly). The workshop presentation is here.
