dear dataverse community,

we consider to use dateverse and have the first questions: does dataverse support OpenID? are there implementations of OpenID in dataverse?

No, Dataverse does not support OpenID but the next release, 4.6.1, adds OAuth support. There is also support for Shibboleth/SAML, which we call "Institutional Log In." Here are the five login options that will appear in the next release:

- Username/Email and Password
- Institutional Log In
- ORCID
- GitHub
- Google

I hope this helps,

Phil
