Hi everyone!

Following up on our earlier invitation to the upcoming Large Data Support Working Group workshop at Dataverse 2026.

This session will bring together institutions and practitioners to share approaches, challenges, and emerging practices for managing large and complex datasets within Dataverse repositories. It’s a great opportunity to connect with others in the community and contribute to ongoing conversations about storage, access, and sustainability.

Session format (45 minutes):

  • Brief introduction and overview of the working group
  • Short community updates on large data support (storage approaches, challenges, and lessons learned)
  • Open discussion on storage strategies, researcher workflows, and sustainability
  • Wrap-up to identify shared approaches and priority areas for future collaboration

The session will be hosted at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and available via Zoom.

We need to submit a list of attendees in advance, so we have set up a link and general information on the Large Data Support Working Group GDCC page to allow you to add your name to the list. (If you replied to previous invitations, your name is already on there!). Please do so before April 30th.

We hope you can join us and share your perspectives!
