OAI-PMH URL

Hi there,

I'm asking another question to this amazing community. :) 

We are planning to use OAI-PMH to expose the metadata of our datasets in an external platform. Do you know where I can retrieve the OAI-PMH URL information? 

I found a URL which is basically our data repository's home URL followed by "/oai"

Could that be the OAI-PMH URL?

Hello,

Please take a look at https://guides.dataverse.org/en/latest/admin/dashboard.html#harvesting (the “harvesting server”section in particular). Harvesting is currently undergoing a significant rewrite; in the meantime not all verbs are implemented.

Hi Qinqin,

Yes, it's /oai. You can go to https://demo.dataverse.org/oai?verb=Identify for example. This is mentioned at https://guides.dataverse.org/en/6.7.1/admin/harvestserver.html#how-does-it-work

I've sometimes thought that we should treat OAI like any other API and document it in the Dataverse API Guide. If you agree, please feel free to create an issue at https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues

Meanwhile, you can find docs (especially "4. Protocol Requests and Responses") here: https://www.openarchives.org/OAI/openarchivesprotocol.html
