Hi there,

We had a question from our community about the notification emails received from the Dataverse system. Some of them include the dataset name in the subject (e.g., dataset created), whereas others do not (e.g., dataset published). See examples in the screenshot.

We are wondering if it's possible to include the dataset name for those missing this detail. From what we can tell, this would involve changing "notification.email.publish.dataset.subject" in the properties file to include the name of the dataset and some code changes. Is this something that we could fix with a PR in the core code, or would we need to do this as a customization locally?

Thanks,

Meghan

Hi Meghan,

Thanks for pointing this out. It feels like an inconsistency to me that should probably be corrected. A pull request would be necessary because the properties files would need another placeholder (they look like {0}) for the dataset title and the backend code needs to change to pass the title to the properties file.

Please feel free to go ahead and create an issue for this (as well as a pull request, if you are able).

Thanks,

Phil
