Hello,
I am attempting to upgrade Dataverse from v6.5 to v6.6, however every time I attempt the upgrade all the Dataverses and Datasets vanish from the web interface.  When I reindex solr, it says it's indexing 6 dataverses and 57 datasets, but they aren't reflected on our website. Is there a step I am missing?  I followed the upgrade instructions completely without errors.  Here is a screenshot of what the site looks like post upgrade.  Any help would be appreciated, this is our production environment.
Thank you!

Katy,

A quick response:

Things I’d check would be:

  • Solr 9.8.0  is running, any others aren’t
  • You have the new schema.xml and solrconfig.xml files in your new Solr install
  • You ran all the steps for Solr install itself
  • Solr has been restarted after you installed, and changed the *.xml files

You may see more clues in either the Dataverse server.log or in the solr log (in the server/logs subdir of your solr install.

Yes to all of Jim's suggestions.

To check if your Solr schema is up-to-date, you could curl http://localhost:8983/solr/collection1/schema/fields make sure "canDownloadFile" appears.*

I hope this helps. Please keep the questions coming!

Phil

* This and other fields were added in Dataverse 6.6 in this pull request: https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/pull/11097

Hi all,
Thank you for your help, the instruction to curl the schema fields showed that collection1 was not initializing properly due to permissions errors.  After fixing that, restarting solr, and re-indexing, things are looking as they should.
Thanks again!
