Hi,

In a production environment, I use dataverse as harvesting server. So I want to know if it possible to applications or systems that are my dataverse harvesting clients.

Best regards,

Michel

Well, Dataverse itself can act as a harvesting client. And some installations of Dataverse harvest from each other. So far the Dataverse community has been using this "List of Dataverse installation OAI-PMH (Harvesting) URLs and sets" spreadsheet to list their installations and sets for others to harvest: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12cxymvXCqP_kCsLKXQD32go79HBWZ1vU_tdG4kvP5S8/edit?usp=sharing

If you or anyone else would like to add your Dataverse installation to the list, please simply leave comments on a blank row for each field. Please see the "About" tab for more information about that spreadsheet.

I'm not familiar enough with the OAI-PMH ecosystem to know what other harvesting clients are out there but perhaps someone who is can list a few. I believe also I've heard of Dataverse installations treating OAI-PMH as an API (which it is, really) and building custom integrations on top of it but I don't have a link to the details.

I hope this helps,

Phil

Maybe we should encourage the Dataverse Community to update this list and add new Dataverse installations?
Best, Philipp
