Thanks, Phil! 

I actually gave 3 talks on the (hot!) topic of Flexible metadata schemes, it was in the CLARIN conference, CLARIAH Working group on Interoperability and separate presentation for CLARIAH steering board. We have implemented a prototype of the SEMAF, Flexible Semantic Mapping Framework, and it does work with Dataverse without XSLT or other traditional mappings.
