Virus scan on file upload

Dear Dataverse community,

i know, that there was some discussion on virus scan in Dataverse and from that I am aware of the possibility to implement virus scanning in a pre-publication workflow.

Since a spreading of malware might happen before, I think it would be preferable to perform scanning on upload.

Has anyone implemented a scanning step on upload or any ideas how this easily could be achieved.  Quarantining on the storage might interrupt malware distribution but for sure will confuse dataverse, since disappearing files or changing checksums would occur.
