Globus integration update call - October 22 10AM EST

Hi everyone, 

I just wanted to send an update about a joint call between Harvard Dataverse and Scholars Portal, anyone from the community is welcome to join please e-mail me if you'd like the details. 

SP is hoping to scope out a phase 2 integration project that would be ready for a production release sometime in 2021. 

Some of the limitations mentioned to date to discuss on the call:

Upload via Globus

-File processing (basic and advanced)

-File size limit setting

-File indexing for search and export

-File editing/replacing

-Globus UI (not open) 

-Dataverse UI (design options)

-Synapse tool (separate tool idea)

Download via Globus

-File permissions (As of now, Globus provides access at the Dataset directory level, bypassing file permissions)

-File versioning not clear in Globus

-File names (labelling) not consistent between DV and Globus

-Dataverse UI (design options)
