Have ideas of apps for Toronto Building?

Here are some ideas of what can be developed with our recently uploaded Toronto Building Datasets:

 

• Toronto Building - Active Permits , Toronto Building - Cleared Permits (2011), Toronto Building - Cleared Permits (Prior Years)

Those three sets of data can be used to show geographically 10 years history of permit activities, trends..(currently no construction value,or number of storeys but could be added..)

 

We have many sky scrappers recently around 75 storeys..this could be of interest around the world

 

During construction of those, public may want to submit pictures...

 

It can also be used to show if a permit ever obtain in a location..

 

Public can report construction without a permit

• Toronto Building - Pool Permits

This set can be used to show geographically the pool permits, may be can matched with aerial photography / google maps..

 

• Toronto Building - Green Roof Permits & Toronto Building - Solar Water Heater Permits

These two sets are related to green initiatives, sustainable city or renewal energy...live green....

 

These can be put on a map, matched with google..

 

Green roof set has the area of green roof

 

•  Sign Permits

Sign Permit records can verify and submit complains and get public help reporting non-compliance or erection of signs without a permit..
