Hello,

Would you have a possibility to set up a subversion (or any source
control system) capability?

ie, that we could set up local svnroot on our accounts and create
local repositories, then access them using ssh+svn

Or would you have an existing solution to have source control on DSU?

Thank you

Marc

I've been looking into this...and like the idea.  Depending on how it incorporates with the rest of the system...I may consider it.  It's just a matter of me getting time to test it.

I'll just second a vote for enabling an svn repository.  That's something I'd definitely find useful.

Thanks.

There are two categories of people.
People who use vim, and people who don't realize that they could be using vim.

That would be great.
Thanks for at least thinking about it.

FYI guys...I went ahead and installed subversion on the server.  Consider it "experimental".  Remember you'll have to access your repo's over ssh.   Also, in playing around with this...I had a hell of a time accessing my test svn repo using rabbitSVN...however, rapidSVN worked fine over ssh.

Woaw. Great!

Thanks a lot. It works like a charm, although some slowness (using the
FSFS "filesystem") but I am fine with it.
I use TortoiseSVN (for windows) and there is no problem so far. The
doc is well done and complete: http://tortoisesvn.net/docs/release/TortoiseSVN_en
for those who need it.

I love your reactivity, John. I do not regret my "investment" at DSU,
honestly.

I second that.
