Function IsValid with date

Hello,

I'm trying to us the IsValid function in a transformer (I'm working on
Datastage PX)
the field to test is a date US format AAAAMMDD
I've tried isValid("date [%yyyy%mm%dd"]","Link.field") but it's says
that %yyyy%mm%dd is not good,

could you help me

Hello,

You can create a new Server Routine with this code:

Ans = IConv(Arg1,"DYMD[4,2,2]") <> ""

Also so can create a new Transform with this code:

IConv(%Arg1%, "DYMD[4,2,2]") <> ""
