Hi

I've just pushed a new commit that add a few strings to i18n. In this version the new feature for remote display should be ready too.

Can you please translate the new strings and test it? I plan to release a new public beta with these changes.

Thanks

Samuel

Hi Samuel,

Here are the updated strings for fr-CA. Sorry for not using mercurial, I forgot how and my time is rater limited right now.

Thanks for the update BTW.

May I ask how the "remote displays" are enabled?  What are they exactly?  Remote Stage & Main outputs?  Are you using serialization or another avenue?  I guess I could run DS on my Nokia N900 as it has IceTea but I wonder if people with simple iPod/iPhone could act as remote display too?

Again, thanks!

Hi Jean,

Thank you so much for the translations. I'll merge them soon.

The remote display use the same serialization strategy we use for
interprocess comunication between the main datasoul process and the
process we use for gstreamer.

Basically:

1) In the server machine (where you will control datasoul), enable the
"accept the remote display" option in configuration screen.
2) In the client machine (that will only display the content), go to
Tools -> Remote Display, enter the IP Address or host name of the
server and connect. It will respect the output device selection from
the client machine (to select which graphic card to use for each
display).

If we have no bugs, it should simply work.

The limitations:

* Both machines must have the same templates installed. The protocol
sends only the name of the template to use and assume it will be
installed also in the client.
* Videos and attachments are not supported
