I have seen a few seagates with mold in the past
but this one is very moldy....

Any options to improve the outcome?

zone A has moldy sectors
I changed the rhtclr and the prhtclr
from 50 to 100 !
there is no change

I make the changes
then update the changes to ram
then check the speed
This is after going up by 50
ACE recommend not going up by more than 20 this is 50 and no sign of any change????

AFH can help in some cases, but its not a magic pill for all MOLD issues.

In fact I find a Rosewood reading is rarely improved by AFH (but is occasionally).

Not sure what you mean by ‘checked the speed’?

You mean checked a sector to see if the MOLD issue had gone?

If you double click the target
it runs a speed test on the zone.
I expected to see that As I moved the head up and down that there would be some effect on the speed.

it says it read the zone at 142mb/s
same as when it started
it seems to be having zero effect.

Check Zone 0x0A of Head 1
