Seagate ST1000DM003 Apple Firmware:
F3romExplorer enabled me to fix a ROM with a flipped bit in segment DL_SFW with the label CPRS (Compressed Code and Resources) – One bit was different. At address 3595, the donor has 5D 06 06 F8 – the patient has 5D 07 06 F8. Looks like bad flash or bitrot. The bit flip caused the firmware corrupting the ROM further by changing DL_GFDIR and DL_BFWLDR signatures from csiD to BADS. This caused the drive to not spin and ID.
