Data recovery from Damaged .MDF base

Hello,

I recovered a 3.18 GB SQL Server .mdf database from a damaged SSD. Unfortunately, about 2 MB of the file is missing because those sectors were unreadable due to bad blocks.

Is it possible to recover or repair this database? If anyone has experience with this type of issue, please contact me.

[Desert Data Recovery]

There are lots of MDF repair programs around. Most have limited success. SQL is unstable at the best of times. What also makes recovery hard is that quite often in a failure, some files fail to write. So even if you do get all the sectors recovered, it still may not work

As someone said to me once 'a mouse can fart on the other side of the planet,  and it will corrupt a SQL database.'

Trying to get those sectors recovered should be your first approach. You might have better luck using heat/cooling if its an SSD.
