I have some of these drives.
I want to erase and reuse them
but I am reading that you need the password to erase?

Is here a solution for this ?

Thanks

And if you fill the drives with "00" or "FF" from a dd command is that not possible ?

The drive is SAS.
It's detected correctly in win10
I can wipe sector 0
I initialize, without error
Format fails, unable to complete format.
Any read beyond sector 0 gives error.

Same result in Linux.

I am reading something about sedutil....

And

Seatools

Would not surprise me that Seagate would make an enterprise drive that can't be repurposed
