Hi All,
I have a:
WD5000LMVW - 11CKRS0
S/N: WX21A82F8189
DCM: HHCTJBBB
DATE: 06 SEP 2012
It has bad heads and in need of a donor. All the USB versions are overpriced and hard to find.
Does anyone know the Sata equivalent to this USB version.
I have a feeling it may be WD5000LPVT.
Whats the compatibility like when using heads from a SATA drive in a USB drive, have your guys had troubles
It seems harder to match second part of the model number and first part of serial etc.
