
Does anyone know if it possible to fix or recover data from this MX500 drive. I came into this morning and out computer that manages our user names for the LPR's was offline. Drive appears to be bad. When i plug it into FKT it see the drive but its all zeros. .Drive was bought back in 2019 . Just looking to get some data from it. Its on windows 10 no bitlocker

Download a free demo version of something like R-Studio (if you don’t have it). Activate writing in settings, open in hex editor and write to the very last byte.

It may be supported. The controllers firmware can be ‘adapted’ by the manufacturer so it all depends on what they have done (if anything). Someone with PC-3000 SSD can look at it for you. Petri is closest to you who was on the thread earlier.

Petri, with the SM controller you can roll back the translator in PRO.
So if it is supported and has been zeroed out, there is hope.

I have not used it either. It was only launched on the last update and only works with SM controllers. So the number of cases you can try it on is limited.
