I appreciate you recognizing your roll in this situation and taking responsibility. Please let it be the last time you say things that are rude and don’t add any benefit to the conversation.

Thank you,

I read back through the post and saw how rude I came off.  We don't know each other and with all the tragic events going on around us, that wasn't my best night.
I shouldn't have called you old, troll, or anything that I may have said.  It doesn't change anything but I'd like to own it and apologize for my behavior.

One word from me as I was abused in that thread.

I suggest you do not fall for the crocodile tears from Don and the fake apology. When he posted the information about the possible fake reviews I was shocked. Fake reviews are one of the worst thing anyone can do. Obviously we do not know where the reviews came from as Don insulted just about everyone in that thread (although he may be able to find out).

However I know how hard Don had worked to get his reviews and I genuinely felt sorry for him. So I reached out to Don on Skype to express my concern, all I got was more abuse back (see Skype log).

We're all grown ups here. I will also accept the apology and move on.

Don said some things he obviously shouldn't have.  It seems to me that he says these things in the heat of the moment, without really thinking it through.  It's best to not overreact (easier said than done).

Tim, you've shown class during the entire ordeal, hats off to you.

Just for the record, I would never leave you a fake review, or tell someone else to leave you a fake review just based on what you said. That's not what we do here. Matter of fact, we are the ones with constant fake reviews on Yelp and Google. Look at our Yelp page for the past month. At one point we just stopped caring.

If you know you do good work, then fake reviews are just that, fake.

I believe yelp isn’t being done by others, I believe yelp is doing it to people on purpose. It’s an extortion based company. I’ve literally gotten the call From business sales that says they won’t show your good reviews without paying them.

Thank you,

I was planing on shutting up, but we all have seen what those apologies are worth. I have to back up Tim here, to whom Don apologized for what happened a few weeks earlier on FB in yesterday's thread, to just start insulting Tim and others again right after that. So those apologies do not appear to be worth an awful lot. IMO this doesn't appear to be an incident. This has nothing to do with Tim being an adult or not.

@Steve: I also made remarks on your, IMO nonchalant way of operating. But that's a matter of style perhaps. I never do any physical recoveries so you could even say, what's that opinion worth. I watched your 2nd video too and commented on one of them, can not remember which one. Because despite my whining you nailed that case.

Yes, we are grown ups.  Tim, that's how I feel about you.  I'm not ashamed of it.
Scott deserves some respect and the NYC firm that Steve works at does as well.  Tuna is just an instigator that I thought was cool when he spoke up against the BS ad Garner had on linked in, then he flipped into some sort of twisted character after I made a post of how upset the pandemic made me.

I'll back off with the negativity and would even share some work if I felt welcome here.

"then he flipped into some sort of twisted character after I made a post of how upset the pandemic made me"

WTF?! As far as I can remember all I did was point out that Corona was a worldwide pandemic, not a USA only thing. If there's any one flipping personalities like some sort of Jekyll and Hide it's you?!

I always try to attack the argument and not the man, but there are times when I fall for the bait and let fly. I try to mitigate this behaviour by refraining from posting until the following day, at which time I usually edit my reply.

If I come across as bitter and resentful, it's because of the nature of this business. My "welcome" to HDD Guru 10 years ago came with ridicule and four-letter abuse. Visitors to that forum were routinely pilloried. I saw what the DR community was really like, warts and all, at least at that place. I described it then as a "conflux of egos". The OP is a prime example. I found the best way to deal with these people was not to abuse them in return, but to show them, and their peers, what they didn't know. And this was surprisingly easy to do. Empty vessels really do make the most sound.
