What exactly do you mean by ‘no data access?’. Are you saying you get errors when reading a sector, or that you can read them but the data is encrypted. And can you post the terminal log of you have one.

What is the drive's capacity when it is installed behind the USB-SATA bridge? If it is less than the native SATA capacity, this would suggest that there is a reserved area at the end of the UA.Can you upload your donor and patient ROMs? Some newer Seagate MCUs have a unique key, and the ROMs have unique digital signatures. (It doesn't look like yours is one of these, though.)

I've noticed that Seagate's external drives often (always?) grab one sector from the end, but I've never seen the firmware do anything with it.FWIW, the PSID code on the label suggests that the drive is a SED, so maybe the bridge is not involved in encryption.

I can't see any security certificates, nor do I see any digital signature that is related to the MCU.
