I cant get to service area with this one.

Anybody know  how ?

I suspect that this model has the new firmware architecture, ie the same architecture as the helium models.

If you dump the ROM, I can confirm this for you.

BTW, it looks like your drive is one of a RAID pair.

yes its part of a mirror from a g-raid

2 x 6tb

dropped the unit.

1 drive is cloning slow, but it would be nice to be able to build a head map

It runs slow and fast depending upon what head its on.

If it's reading even slowly I think it's better to get the image on a single shot even slower than trying to fix the slow read as maybe you will not have a 2nd shot to re-read it back again.

"VL6" is the family (Vela 6). That's the new architecture, ie no support in PC3K.
