Possible chip off service needed for a Galaxy S10 to recover family pictures and other files. The phone was in a pant pocket and was in salt water for about 12 minutes.
I have an ask for a friend of mine and former coworker who is a retired homicide detective with the Baltimore County Police Department. He was vacationing at the Outer Banks (Ocracoke, NC) area over the Easter weekend and he, another friend and the friend’s young son went fishing with a guide a few miles outside the Ocracoke Inlet. The day started off calm and the seas were like glass until out of nowhere a group of rouge waves formed and hit their 25 foot center console boat causing it to capsize. Unfortunately none of them were wearing a PFD at the time so they went into the mid 60 degree water without floatation and had to fight the current. Another guided fishing party came to render aid within 12 minutes. A U.S. Coast Guard rescue boat arrived 8 minutes later to assist. Horribly, the friend and father of the young son on the trip succumbed to the water and died.
If anyone is willing to help or pass along a referral please reach out to me direct and I can help with further communications. RPeaco...@gmail.com. The family contacted a data recovery service provider that quoted them $5,000 if files were able to be recovered. I’m hoping someone here has a referral or can offer a service that is more reasonable.
Thank You,
Rich Peacock
