This is the newer pc3k device with the auto voltage setting for 1.8 2.4 3.3

I just test read in a rom from a st2000lm007 with BOOTCODE and got these weird messages
This seagate is coming up as 0mb
and the rom changed between reboots - and I didnt change anything....
or my prolific USB adapter is misreading....

Those new segments (2B, 2C, 2D, 2E) have no checksum. Therefore PC3K's error message is a non-issue, and your adaptor is OK.
Instead these segments contain SMART data that are updated at hourly intervals. They may also contain some other stuff, but that's all I've been able to work out.
If you upload a ROM example, I'll show you your SMART attribute data.

I have written a tool to parse ROM segment 0x2B. You can use F3RomExplorer to save segment 2B to a file, and then run my tool against the file. If a file name contains spaces (why ?), then enclose it in quotes.
