SM2258H AB ROM

Good day, I received a Crucial MX500 sata with a SM2258H controller and translator damage but for some reason the DFL SSD tool debug ROM does not work on this model and was wondering if there is a change that a another vendor like PC3000 debug files will work.

The MX5000 is not supported by PC3K either.

That depends on what's wrong with the SSD. As the firmware is stored on the NAND chips, if it's a firmware issue you are just transferring the issue to the donor. Only really wd works with PCB issues.

The latest flavour of the MX500 uses an SM2259 controller. Earlier versions used the SM2258. Are you perhaps confusing the two?
