              It has problem with 0 capecity . I have unlock rom and take a backup of all sys files .Strange thing is both copy 28 reads normal .So i am confuse what to do ? Here some command i have run to check defect .

So how do i fix this drive ? By using M0,6,2,,,,,22 or m0,6,3,,,,,22 or only capecity restore m0.2,2,,,,,22 ? any precaution ?Pls help me as i am confused at this stage .

Hi,

You’re right to be cautious. Based on the logs you posted, this is NOT a classic translator-only failure, and doing a blind M0,6,x is the fastest way to permanently destroy user data.

As I can see,head are not totally dead.

There is NO defect-list corruption.

This is NOT a G-List / RSL overflow issue.

So what happen?

The key clues are here:

This combination means:

❌ Firmware cannot correctly read SYSTEM FILES during initialization ❌ Translator cannot finish loading ❌ Capacity never becomes available

But: ✔ ROM reads are OK

✔ Heads can read some system areas

➡️ This is a partial System Area read failure, not translator-only.

What you SHOULD do?

First tell us your drive family and exact référence if possible.

Try to backup all system file again(verify).

Identify falling module

The other steps depend of what module is falling
