Hi guys, might be a silly question, but is there a way to clone a HDD using PC3000 data extractor.

Basically I want to clone a HDD including partitions, etc to another HDD. Just like clonezilla would, but im using PC3K.
But I'm struggling to find anything in the guides or blogs.

I normally just user explorer to rescue certain files, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Imaging is the core function of DE.

When creating a new task, in the steps, there is a tick box to check "to image". Select the destination drive in the next step.

Looks like a sort of kiddin'

but I'm must admit sometime Acelab is not intuitive

Supposing you have SATA 1 and SATA 2

plug source to one and destination to the other

power the drives on from the utilities

then boot data extractor and select both SATA 1 &  SATA 2

Create a task
source SATA 1 or 2 (according with your source)
and the other SATA as destination

and procede as usual

Thanks for the advice all, I was being an idiot and not selecting both pc3k channels. Thought it would be something simple I was missing.

You can also use DE to mount the drive to the system while ghosting it to another drive.

Remember to uncheck changing the MRB if you want to make it bootable.

On my system.
If you uncheck MRB, and image to a drive on one of your system SATA ports.
Then Windows detects the new file system and blocks writes. So DE hangs and fails with write-destination error. This won't happen if you image to a pc3k port because pc3k doesn't mount the drive to the OS.
You need to let it complete the image, then change 55 BB to 55 AA. RS and UFS are smart enough to ignore the 55 BB

He was advised to use to PC3000 ports so it is not an issue.
