Hello, how are you?
I have a question about a Barracuda 7200.12 Pharaoh-3F family hard drive. I've already swapped the ROM to another donor PCB and the same problem occurs. I also replaced the read head assembly. The read head assembly was removed from an identical hard drive in good condition, but the result was no different from the one in the photo.
Any tips? I really appreciate the help.

To provide helpful information, we need to know how the drive behaves (spins up, clicks and spin down?) and see terminal output once powered on.

The hard drive spins, makes some internal noises, and then shuts down.
I couldn't access it via the terminal via MRT Ultra.
I inspected the media for damage after this behavior, and it shows no signs of damage. Thank you.

Then either there is disk damage, firmware area damage, or heads are not compatible.

I understand. Regarding compatibility, the donor hard drive is identical to the customer's hard drive.
It was in good condition.

Check the preamp on the commutator sticker. AG = Agere, which is compatible often with LSI, TI = Texas Instruments is only compatible with itself.

Connect terminal. 
Go into utility
Go into terminal
Power on 
You should see messages
Try ^Z
You should see messages
try the same test with known good drives

7200.12 could be tricky with terminal.
May also have to short channel.

But if the heads spin down, there is not a whole lot to do. We need the heads to work.
