Hello,
I need assistance with this Seagate Expansion hard drive, the details of which are as follows:
Seagate expansion STKP1600400
PN:3EGAP7-570
DOM:04/2025
This external hard drive contains an internal Seagate Barracuda.
Here is how the issue presents itself:
At first, when I try to start it, it is not recognized by either the BIOS or the operating system. However, on Windows, it only appears as an “external hard drive.”
I disassembled the enclosure and tried to power it up without the rack, but there was no change.
I suspect the problem may be related to the ROM, as this particular firmware (FW: EN03) is known to be buggy.
There are no important data on it, but I would simply like to make the HDD functional again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
All the information is shown in the attached images.

The LED light is on.
I heard a small noise and the motor is running at full speed.
I think it’s a firmware issue or a stuck head.
Could someone provide me with the firmware for this drive, please?
Ifs its still under warrant send it back. Nothing you can do with a helium drive.

Hello everyone, and thank you for your replies.
I tried listening carefully to the sound, and here is what I noticed:
The motor starts up and it's spin, and I can hear a low “beep” sound intermittently.

So the drive is not spinning at all?
Just an intermittent beep every couple of seconds?
