I think it'd be a good idea for everyone championing this project to
publicly post an exemplar page on their own blog (or whatever)
illustrating their uses of "rel=me". Doing so should help users see
how easy it is, and learn by example.

For my part, here's my bio page marked up:

http://www.mediaslate.org/jtrentadams/

And, thanks to Julian, here's the proof in the pudding that the Google
SocialGraph API can pick it up:

http://voidstar.com/sgtestparser/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mediaslate.org%2Fjtrentadams%2F

Anyone else taking up the challenge?

Trent,

Good idea, I like it. Thanks for setting up the wiki, I am finding more rel-me / XFN producers everyday. I don't have such a page yet so I have to go create it but it should be pretty easy to do. If I may make a suggestion, perhaps you can cross post this to all the other DP groups because they are only 4 members (I think) in the DIY group.

While the developer in me likes the output generated by the test parser, I I have also been thinking about writing a simple rails maybe Javascript? code to create a vanity badge using the rel=me information, with the output more along the lines of the About Me widget generated by MyBlogLog, check out an example here. As pointed out by many already, there are way more producers than consumers, so I thought I would contribute a consumer app =), what do you all think? Worthwhile or useless? Be honest though, I wouldn't want to code it up if no one wants it.

Also, I suggested the idea of "Adopt a blogger" rel-me to Daniela, for example, I can help someone like Scoble write up his rel=me links if he like, anyway just a thought.

Great idea, Bob. Do have a  look at the SG API example app I wrote in JS - suggestions for improvement welcome:

http://socialgraph-resources.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/samples/findyours.html

If you want to opensource such an App I'm happy to add it to this project

and my rel="me" examples are here:

Thanks, Kevin. I will definitely take a look at your code when I have some time next week. I am happy to open source my little experiment. Thanks again for the Fire Eagle invite.
