Got a great idea regarding Data Portability?
Seen an awesome article on DP?
Had an experience with DP you'd like to share?

We're looking for help from YOU -- feedback, guidance, suggestions!

And, if you'd love to articulate this in a blog post -- even better!

Regardless, this is such an important topic --- let's keep the
conversation going!

Hi Steve, how about a post/ series of posts on the subject of organisations returning data to their customers, as per this post (which I authored).

It occurs that these various initiatives (midata in UK, smart data in USA) are actually data portability by another name?

The problem with their approach is that they are currently point solutions; we don't need point solutions, we need take that general requirement (return co-owned data to a customer) and make that easy to deploy, and even easier to understand.

Make sense?

Cheers

Iain

Hi.

Maybe not exactly a DP topic, but I thought I might want to share a pointer to : Terms of Service; Didn't Read http://tos-dr.info/ which seems to address similar concerns.

Hope this is interesting, and sorry for the duplicate pointer if you had noticed already.

Best regards,
