Hi,

I tried to modify the search.cgi script to change the template from search.htm to search.php. After uploading the system gives me a 500 server error (even after chowning to the proper user)

[root@vps /usr/local/dpsearch/bin]# ./search.cgi
/usr/local/dpsearch/bin/search.cgi: Shared object has no run-time symbol table
[root@vps /usr/local/dpsearch/bin]#

Do I have to reinstall it again?

Thanks

Hi,
search.cgi is a binary file not supposed to be edited, it seems you need to reinstall it.
You can change template name with &tmplt CGI-parameter passed to search.cgi,
see http://www.dataparksearch.org/devel-doc/dpsearch-doingsearch.en.html#SEARCH-PARAMS

Best regards,
Maxim
