How to confogure Win2k pro & Win98 for broadband connection?

hi all I am connecting to Internet via broadband(Dataone).My PC is an
old celeron 1ghz .I am using WinXP.The OS is working. very slow in my
PC.I would like to change My OS to Win2K proff or Win98.But I don't
know how to configure the OS to broadband.I need help on How to
configure broadband connection in Win2k proff and Win98.Please give me
the usefull information.

Hi Naveen,
Welcome to this group.

I think there is not much difference in configuring using windows XP
and windows 98. If you have configured your modem, you can just plug
in and start using dataone in windows 98. Keep in mind that you have
to install Network neighborhood portion while installing Windows 98.

all said and done, I 'd recommend not going for windows 98 as it is
outdated and you will need atleast windows xp for most of the
applications and programs.
